Warehouse TERRADA to Sponsor “WHO IS BANKSY?” Exhibition Starting from August 21st (Sat) at Warehouse TERRADA G1 Building
Warehouse TERRADA will sponsor "The WHO IS BANKSY?" Exhibition (organized by “WHO IS BANKSY?” EXHIBITION COMMITTEE) from August 21st, 2021 (Sat) until December 5th (Sun) and provide our G1-5F venue in Tennoz, Tokyo.
Described as “an art exhibition like a film set,” the “WHO IS BANKSY?” Exhibition will trace the mysterious history of the anonymous artist Banksy who has been releasing his works on the street. Not only his original works kept by private collectors as their treasures will be exhibited, but also his street art scattered around the world will be reproduced in true to size and on show in the venue unlike a museum. By retracing his actions, visitors will have an opportunity to further deepen understanding. Also, actor Tomoya Nakamura became the official ambassador of the exhibition. His audio guide will provide commentary on how and why Banksy captures people around the world as a forerunner of our time.
Based on our philosophy of space creation and cultural creation, we have been working to turn Tennoz into a major center for the arts, operating facilities that promote art and culture, such as the contemporary art collectors’ museum WHAT, art gallery cafe WHAT CAFE, art materials lab PIGMENT TOKYO, and TERRADA ART COMPLEX, Japan’s largest gallery complex.
Through cooperation with large scale art events, we will continuously contribute to the advancement of the area of Tennoz as an attractive location for eclectic art fans throughout and make it the world’s greatest city of art.
