Warehouse TERRADA’s PIGMENT TOKYO Presents PIGMENT COLOR PHILOSOPHY Talk Session featuring Nizo Yamamoto, Animated Film Art Director
PIGMENT TOKYO, an art materials lab operated by Warehouse TERRADA, will present PIGMENT COLOR PHILOSOPHY Vol.5 on August 10th. The fifth series in this talk session, "Colors of the clouds and colors of the sky" will feature Nizo Yamamoto, film art director acclaimed for his background art in numerous animated films.
Nizo Yamamoto, the film art director of numerous animated films including Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, will present a talk with Kei Iwaizumi, Director of PIGMENT TOKYO. Focusing on the clouds and the sky which Yamamoto regards them as important objects in his animation works, he will talk about the emotions evoked by colors of nature, as well as explain the beauty of analog technology in animation works, demonstrating his expertise of techniques. It will be a rare and valuable opportunity to see a glimpse of animation art history of Japan. Please see the following for details for the talk session.
