Warehouse TERRADA’s Affiliated Company OTTAVA Concludes Partnership with Wiener Staatsoper and Launches Video Streaming Service

Wiener Staatsoper is known as the palace of music boasting the world’s largest repertoire of performances. OTTAVA.TV (http://ottava.jp) will make its stage performance available online in real time for computer, smartphone and tablet (with Japanese subtitles).

In consideration of time difference between Japan and Vienna, the video streaming of each performance will commence from the 12 PM noon (Japan time) after each performance, and will be available for viewing on demand anytime and as many times within the 72 hours. Also, to mark the launch of OTTAVA.TV, Verdi’s “Rigoletto” will be available free of charge on May 9th (Thu).

Wiener Staatsoper will celebrate its 150th anniversary in May 2019. On May 25th (Sat), a premiere of R. Strauss’s “Die Frau ohne Schatten” which was first premiered at the theater 100 years ago will be performed after an anniversary ceremony (the casts: Stephen Gould, Camilla Nylund, Nina Stemme and others / Conductor: Christian Thielemann).

Also, a total of 10 programs will be distributed in May and June, including Verdi’s “Otello” with a new interpretation (conductor: Myung-Whun Chung), Verdi’s “Aida” with the great casting such as Elena Guseva, Ekaterina Gubanova, Gregory Kunde, and Massenet’s “Manon” featuring Juan Diego Flórez.
