Warehouse TERRADA to Hold TERRADA ART AWARD 2025 in Support of Emerging Artists
"The next precedent––is you": The contemporary art award will open its entries on November 20th (Wed), 2024
Warehouse TERRADA will be holding TERRADA ART AWARD 2025, recognizing talented creators of contemporary art. The entry period is from November 20th (Wed), 2024, until 6 PM on January 31st (Fri), 2025 (Japan Standard Time). The five finalists will be announced on September 10th (Wed), 2025, and TERRADA ART AWARD 2025 Finalist Exhibition will be held from January 15th (Thu), 2026.
TERRADA ART AWARD is a contemporary art award designed to support emerging artists. To discover artists who can play an active role on the world stage, we have selected a jury panel with an international perspective and a deep understanding of contemporary art. Applicants will undergo a screening period in which portfolios and exhibition plans will be reviewed, culminating in the selection of five finalists. Each finalist will have an opportunity to exhibit the works at the finalist exhibition as well as a cash prize to help with their creation costs.
TERRADA ART AWARD 2023 received numerous entries from within Japan and overseas, and the works of the five selected finalists (Mitsuo Kim, Yuma Tomiyasu, Yuki Harada, Satoshi Murakami, and yang02) were presented at TERRADA ART AWARD 2023 Finalist Exhibition in January 2024.
We want to foster a society in which artists can thrive. Through TERRADA ART AWARD, we fully support the careers of our finalists—artists with the potential to drive the arts forward into the future—as they venture out into the world, break conventions, and discover their raison d’être.
We are also pleased to announce that TERRADA ART AWARD 2025 has received sponsorship from Japan Airlines and MHD Moët Hennessy Diageo K.K., and support from Shinagawa City.
