Art Gallery Cafe, WHAT CAFE to Hold Exhibition Collaborating with 16 Spirited Young Artists

WHAT CAFE, an art gallery cafe operated by Warehouse TERRADA, will have WHAT CAFE EXHIBITION vol.22 from November 23rd (Wed) to December 4th (Sun), 2022.

WHAT CAFE EXHIBITION vol.22 key visual created by A2Z™

[Overview]

In this exhibition, 150 artworks from varied art disciplines will be displayed and sold, focused on 16 artists with a sharp creative sensibility that goes against the grain and does not adhere to preconceptions.
Sensibility is “the most primitive form of connection between people and the world, and between people.”* Artworks are non-linguistic, and their expression varies from one work to another, which makes them truly fascinating. In this exhibition, while visitors can experience each artist’s sensibility through the artworks, they can also deepen their understanding and interest in the artists and their works through the verbalized concepts by each artist.
Additionally, as a new initiative, we collaborated with artists from inception and organized the exhibition with their perspectives. The artist A2Z™ created the main visual for the exhibition, and other artists participated in short interview movies and exclusive events. We will allow visitors to immerse in the artists’ thoughts and passions through various unique programs.
* Excerpt from Phenomenology of Perception by Maurice Merleau-Ponty (1967, translated into Japanese by Yoshiro Takeuchi and Sadataka Kogi, and published in Japan by Misuzu Shobo). Warehouse TERRADA translates the excerpt.
