WHAT CAFE to Hold Exhibition with 5 Galleries based in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto from April 28th (Thu)
Collaboration with Art Project DELTA
WHAT CAFE, an art gallery cafe operated by Warehouse TERRADA will have “WHAT CAFE × DELTA EXHIBITION ‘TRI-FOLD’ from April 28th (Thu) to May 8th, 2022 (Sun).
[Overview]
This is a collaboration with an art project DELTA, introducing emerging galleries and directors based in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. There will be 100 artworks by 17 artists from up-and-coming to mid-career in this exhibition, selected through the keen eyes of five galleries such as CANDYBAR Gallery, EUKARYOTE, FINCH ARTS, LOKO GALLERY, and TEZUKAYAMA GALLERY. By folding a presentation by edgy directors and artists into one venue, as the exhibition subtitle TRI-FOLD suggests, we will create a place to harmonize artists, collectors, and art fans.

[About WHAT CAFE]
A space to exhibit and sell artworks by up-and coming artists in Japan. It boasts 800 square meters of luminous, expansive floor space. Works on display are constantly updated––a year-round flow of beauty and cool from the new pantheon of creative visual geniuses. This maximizes the opportunities for artists to be seen, be loved, and sell their work. We hold workshops, events, and meet-ups related to the exhibitions, so you can dive deep and meet like-minded art lovers. It’s a space to experience art with all five senses while enjoying a meal and drinks.
[About DELTA]
An art project consisting of galleries that have been disseminating edgy exhibitions and artists from Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. In 2020 the spread of COVID-19 affected the art market, including world-scale art fairs and gallery exhibitions and artists’ activities. Furthermore, since raising awareness on the issue that progressive galleries and art directors with new sensitivities have not had opportunities to present themselves, we hosted DELTA Experiment, an art fair in Osaka. To create new fields connecting galleries, artists, and collectors, we organize art fairs and exhibitions beyond the ordinary.
