ARCHI-DEPOT MUSEUM to Present Live Online Program “Kengo Kuma and Akihiro Nishizawa Talk about Architecture and Design after the Corona” on YouTube from 7 PM on May 14th (Thu)
ARCHI-DEPOT MUSEUM by Warehouse TERRADA will present a live online program on short notice from 7 PM on May 14th (Thu) on live on YouTube. The title is “Kengo Kuma and Akihiro Nishizawa Talk about Architecture and Design after the Corona -ARCHI-DEPOT x Creative Night.” (available in Japanese)
ARCHI-DEPOT MUSEUM is currently closed in order to prevent infection and spread of COVID-19. During this period, the museum is focusing on improving its online content and trying to convey the aestheticism of architecture and architectural models to more people.
This is a collaboration with Creative Night by Eight Branding Design Inc., a talk event series with creators from various fields. It is realized since one of ARCHI-DEPOT MUSEUM’s concepts “Expansion of possibilities in the architectural area” was received empathy from Eight Branding Design.
One of the speakers is a branding designer, Akihiro Nishizawa, a representative of Eight Branding Design and an advocate of “architectural thinking.” Another speaker is the architect, Kengo Kuma. He is a major user of ARCHI-DEPOT ONLINE, an architectural model storage service by ARCHI-DEPOT. Both of them have been active at the forefront of each field, and they will discuss what they are now considering about architecture and design using the following keywords: architectural thinking after the COVID-19 crisis; the connection between architecture and branding; and the value of architectural models.

ARCHI-DEPOT’s model warehouse specializes only in the storage of architectural models and stores more than 600 works entrusted by architects and architectural firms. Additionally, a part of the models is displayed and opened to the museum visitors for a limited time (an application required at the reception).
