Warehouse TERRADA to Operate TERRADA ART BUS, Shuttle Service Circulating around Art Spots in Tokyo, in collaboration with Art Fair Tokyo 2019

Warehouse TERRADA sponsors “Art Fair Tokyo 2019” (AFT2019), Japan’s largest art event and “Future Artists Tokyo,” a project to support young artists to have opportunities to be international artists and curators. In collaboration with these events, TERRADA ART BUS, free shuttle bus will circulate around five art spots in Tokyo, including Art Fair Tokyo 2019.

Tennoz is formerly known as a town with warehouses. Warehouse TERRADA has been focusing on Tennoz area revival, maximizing its waterfront environment with canals which has a relaxed atmosphere even in a city, and pursuing an area development to make Tennoz a gathering place for artists, artworks and art related contents. During Art Fair Tokyo 2019, many art and cultural events are coming up in Tennoz, such as Future Artists Tokyo in Tennoz; TENNOZ ART FESTIVAL, one of Japan’s largest mural projects; Tennoz Harbor Market, which 130 shops will participate from all around Japan. In addition, there are various art and cultural facilities worth to visit in Tennoz, including ARCHI-DEPOT MUSEUM, Japan’s only museum specialized in architectural models; a traditional art materials lab, PIGMENT TOKYO; TERRADA ART COMPLEX containing seven art galleries that are leading contemporary art world, and GVIDO TOKYO, a place to experience the world’s first dual screen music score.

Starting at Art Fair Tokyo, the bus will circulate all five art spots to feel today’s art scene in Tokyo for two hours.

Dates: March 8th (Fri) – March 10th (Sun) (with a 20-30 minute interval)

This exhibition features 19 two-dimensional artworks including “Thursday evening,” which is expressing “a memory which is more beautiful than reality” and “Portrait H,” which is depicting people close to the artist, contrasting a shining moment and darkness. Prior to Art Fair Tokyo 2019, the exhibition will open featuring 13 artists from 11 universities and colleges.

In Tennoz, an isle of art, one of Japan’s largest mural projects with photo exhibition and bridge lit up will be presented by seven artists.
