New Gallery Takuro Someya Contemporary Art | TSCA Opens in TERRADA ART COMPLEX
Takuro Someya Contemporary Art | TSCA opens in TERRADA ART COMPLEX, an art facility operated by Warehouse TERRADA on November 22nd (Thu.). As has already been announced, ANOMALY also opens on the same day.
While focusing on art storage, Warehouse TERRADA has been developing art and culture-related business, such as restoration, preservation, transportation and exhibition as well as operating art facilities and supporting young artists. In recent years, we have established a museum, an art materials lab and a restoration facility, and brought cultural events to our base at Tennoz Isle. We have also been focusing on the Tennoz area revival project to be known as “The City of Art: Tennoz.” We hope that the opening of these new galleries in TERRADA ART COMPLEX will further consolidate such project.

Takuro Someya Contemporary Art became independent from SCAI THE BATHHOUSE, and its gallery was opened, one in Chiba in 2006 and one in Tokyo in 2010. As its grand opening of the new gallery in Tennoz, Enrico Isamu Ōyama’s exhibition will be held from November 22nd. It is also planning to present the exhibitions of Kenjiro Okazaki and Rafaël Rozendaal in 2019. Takuro Someya Contemporary Art will operate an office on the fifth floor and an exhibition room, TSCA on the third floor of TERRADA ART COMPLEX.

TERRADA ART COMPLEX is an arts facility that houses entities such as TAC GALLERY SPACE, a venue capable of exhibiting large artworks; TERRADA ART ASSIST Co., Ltd. a total art solutions company supporting art related aspects such as transportation, exhibition, and restoration; TAC ART STUDIO, a rental studio complex for artists; as well as a campus for the “Artwork Restoration Course at Yokohama University of Arts & Design – Tennoz Satellite,” a university course which educates future professionals in restoration and preservation science.
