TOKYO CANAL LINKS by Warehouse TERRADA Selected as “Tokyo Tokyo FESTIVAL” Grant Program

- TOKYO CANAL LINKS #8 to be held from July 20th (Fri.) to 22nd (Sun.)-

TOKYO CANAL LINKS (HANEDA-TENNOZ), an art project by Warehouse TERRADA was selected as one of the “Tokyo Tokyo FESTIVAL” grant programs for the first term of FY 2018. “Tokyo Tokyo FESTIVAL” is operated by the Arts Council Tokyo (Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture) and aims to develop Tokyo as a society based on arts and culture. It is a generic term referring to the Tokyo Cultural Program in the run-up to 2020.

TOKYO CANAL LINKS was selected as one of the projects in the “Support for Projects to Foster Momentum” category for the period leading-up to 2020. In this project, live shows, dance performances, tea ceremonies, workshops and various other art events have already been held in the Tennoz area. Encouraged by this project approval, Warehouse TERRADA will not only continue to organize art events in Tennoz, but will also promote “Iron Island FES,” a creative festival which is a Haneda area development project in cooperation with Ota City and Shinagawa City. It is held mainly in our open-access art production factory called BUCKLE KÔBÔ in Keihinjima in Ota City and received favorable reviews in October last year.

The latest event TOKYO CANAL LINKS #8 will be held at B&C HALL and TMMT, event spaces in Tennoz, from July 20th (Fri.). An opening act performance by Utena Kobayashi, and a live event combining music with stage direction by Tamaki Roy x Lighting SOLA will be presented. Please refer to the following for more details on “Tokyo Tokyo Festival” grant.
