WHAT CAFE to Host Group Exhibition Featuring Emerging Artists Selected by Art Curator Hirotaka Noma Starting from June 27th (Fri)

Featuring approximately 130 works by 16 artists capturing “motion,” available for viewing and purchase

WHAT CAFE, an art gallery cafe operated by Warehouse TERRADA, will host the exhibition “WHAT CAFE EXHIBITION vol. 42: Framing Motion” from June 27th (Fri) to July 8th (Tue), 2025, in collaboration with art curator Hirotaka Noma to introduce 16 emerging artists.

In this exhibition, approximately 130 works by 16 up-and-coming contemporary artists, selected by Noma, will be showcased and available for purchase. WHAT CAFE previously collaborated with Noma on an exhibition in October 2023, which was well received. Building on that success, this second edition will introduce new artists and artworks.
The exhibition focuses on how artists capture their “motions,” whether it’s inner fluctuations, technical experiments, or cultural perspectives, through their chosen mediums. It highlights works where these motions are visualized within the frame. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of artworks, from graphic depictions of people and animals to intricate details and abstract expressions.
