The champagne that makes the perfect wedding gift

Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé

In recent years, more people have been giving rosé champagne, which embodies the meaning of “La Vie en rose,” as a wedding gift. The perfect choice for that special day is Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé. There is a heartwarming story behind this champagne’s inception. It was first unveiled at Laurent-Perrier CEO and General Manager Alexandra Pereyre de Nonancourt’s wedding party in 1987. When the wedding was decided several years before, her father Bernard de Nonancourt began preparing the champagne in secret. It is customary for the bride’s father to give a speech at French weddings, but at that moment when Alexandra was presented with the Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé 1982, she was moved to tears.

0706_2Alexandra had this to say about that day when she visited Japan in May (translated from Japanese):
“My father was always busy with work and was often away from home for long periods. But when he was home, he would always take my sister and me by the hand and lead us in walks around the garden. And when we picked herbs and flowers, he told us, ‘Those flowers have life. For our work, we must take that life seriously. So we must treat nature with respect.’ That has stayed with me to this day. His profound love was conveyed to me with Alexandra Rosé, and I couldn’t stop crying.”

Laurent-Perrier is a venerable house founded in 1812, and when Bernard de Nonancourt took control in 1948, he developed it significantly. Today it is the world’s fourth largest house. And when film director Takeshi Kitano became the first Japanese person to be awarded the Chambellan d’Honneur by the Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne in 2015, Laurent-Perrier acted as his guard, with Alexandra welcoming Kitano to the Château de Louvois, the castle owned by the maison. Laurent-Perrier is also known as a house with a deep appreciation for culture.

The maison’s essence is love, dignity, and the profound feelings a father has for his daughter. And by giving the gift of Laurent-Perrier Alexandra Rosé on the best day of a person’s life, you can clearly convey your wish for their happiness.
